The Sharankrishna Short Film Awards is designed to give emerging and independent filmmakers a credible platform to present their work, connect with the filmmaking community and receive recognition for excellence across different areas of cinema.
Outstanding films and individual talent are recognised across multiple award categories.
Eligible submissions are reviewed by the official festival jury.

Selected winners are honoured at the official awards ceremony at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi Campus.

Entries to the Sharankrishna Short Film Awards will be evaluated by an official jury representing experience across cinema, storytelling and the creative industries.

Explore General CategoryOur campus short film competition is created specifically for student filmmakers. If you are currently studying at a recognised college or university, the Campus Category gives you an opportunity to showcase your filmmaking talent on a larger platform.
Valid proof of current student status is required.
Explore Campus CategoryDon't leave your film unseen. Submit your short film to the Sharankrishna Short Film Awards 2026 and put your work in front of an official festival jury.
Entries are open across
Provide your contact information, film title, category, runtime and viewing link.
Submit the official credits for your director, producer, writer, cinematographer, editor, music director and principal cast.
Review your submission and complete the ₹1,000 entry fee securely online. Once payment is successfully confirmed, your entry is registered for the festival.
